Revolutionising Insulating Materials: NanoPlume Uses Green Tech' for Affordable, Scalable and Sustainable Aerogel Production
Our Innovation
Innovative Material Formulation
Aerogel is a revolutionary material, utilised by NASA, that represents the pinnacle of insulating technology. We are currently in the research and development stage, but have successfully produced our prototype, setting the stage for a profound impact in various industries. NanoPlume produces biomass-based aerogel, that incorporates natural and organic, recycled feedstocks into our formulation. This formulation can be tailored to specific use cases. Our material is strong (where most aerogels are brittle), lightweight and reusable.

Cutting-Edge Aerogel Manufacturing Process
NanoPlume is at the forefront of manufacturing and processing of the next generation of super insulating materials known as aerogels. By utilising Multiphysics software and advanced green technology we are accelerating our manufacturing process. Our process is 70% quicker, cheaper and uses half the energy!
Cold Chain: Healthcare Segment
Insulation of Cargo Boxes in Drone Healthcare Logistics
In the Cold Chain Healthcare Sector alone, nearly $34 billion are lost annually due to breaches in temperature control (International Air Transport Association (IATA)).
NanoPlume will support better thermal management, reducing waste of biological samples such as vaccines and minimizing energy consumption, including battery packs and diesel used by trucks to maintain temperature. At NanoPlume, we have customer trials within the cold chain healthcare logistics sector. NanoPlume's materials will be used in insulating cargo boxes transporting biological material like vaccines and blood samples.

We offer a competitive solution with:
-
70% weight reduction: reduced payload and energy consumption, extending battery range
-
110% volume increase: twice the useable space means less drones required per mission
-
300% better insulation: higher reliability against temperature breaches
Built Environment
Retrofit , New Homes and micro-homes
At NanoPlume, we’ve developed a super-insulating material that offers unparalleled benefits for building owners. Our insulation enables up to a 50% reduction in energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions compared to traditional insulation materials, both in product use and embodied energy.
This innovation supports the European Commission's Renovation Wave, which aims to double renovation rates by 2030 and enhance the energy performance of 35 million buildings. The construction industry, one of the largest consumers of energy and raw materials globally, contributes nearly 40% of emissions within the EU and generates almost a third of all waste.

The European Union is committed to achieving climate neutrality by 2050, targeting net-zero greenhouse gas emissions. By choosing NanoPlume’s insulation, building owners can significantly contribute to energy savings and emission reductions, supporting broader environmental goals and regulatory requirements, and advancing the transition towards a sustainable and energy-efficient built environment.
